Ossie Walsh

Attorney-at-Law · Advocate

Ossie Walsh is an Attorney-at-Law and Notary Public admitted to practise before the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court. Called to the Bar of the Commonwealth of Dominica in 2010, he holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of the West Indies and a Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School. His practice is built on fifteen years of standing at the Bar, with rights of audience at every level of the court — from the Magistrate's Court to the High Court and the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal.

His work concentrates on civil litigation, criminal defence, commercial and corporate matters, constitutional and public law, and property and conveyancing. He is retained by private clients, family enterprises and statutory bodies who require counsel that is both meticulous in preparation and measured in advocacy. The chambers is small by design: every brief is prepared, argued and carried to judgment by the advocate whose name appears on the letterhead — not delegated to juniors or passed through layers of administration.

The practice is rooted in three principles: exhaustive preparation before the court, discreet counsel outside of it, and an unwavering respect for the dignity of the judicial process. Whether the matter is a contested criminal trial, a complex commercial dispute, or a constitutional motion, the standard of care remains the same.

— Ossie Walsh, LL.B., L.E.C.
